Prelude Dark Pain is a turn-based tactical RPG set in a dark fantasy world called Statera. Recruit and customize a squad that fits your playstyle, lead them through epic encounters where strategic positioning and careful planning decide the outcome, and use the varied terrain to your advantage to claim victory.

Synopsis

Prelude Dark Pain takes place in the world of Statera, a territory ravaged by the Dark Pain. The Order of the Ashen Crusade rules with blood and terror over a great extension of this territory while praying to the Lord of Pain. However, there are still free people who fight against the lurking evil. Step into the shoes of the retired hero Soren, now a blacksmith trying to fit in this corrupted world. Despite leaving his warrior life behind him, he will have to return to his roots to rescue his wife, Hegoa, and forge a resistance against the dark plans of the Ashen Crusade.


Engage in a +30 hour campaign, recruit over 20 different heroes to build the perfect squads and lead them into dozens of missions and fulfill side quests, while upgrading the Citadel, your headquarters, where your tactical plan will be drawn.

The experience is wrapped in a unique Andalusian dark fantasy aesthetic with Mignola-style art and a soundtrack featuring industry legend Kumi Tanioka. Prelude: Dark Pain promises a hardcore experience that respects the genre’s roots while delivering the fluidity and spectacle of modern gaming.
